First Look of Hermes Limited Edition Leica M7

November 20th, 2009

Here is a post about the cooperation between Leica and luxury fashion house Hermes. A limited edition Leica camera designer by Hermes named Leica M7 is just released. Actually, this is not the first cooperation between them. As the successor to the ‘LEICA MP Edition Hermes’ launched in 2003, this is the second series of cameras created in co-operation with Hermes, the Paris-based company renowned throughout the world for its exclusive Hermes handbags and other products.

As far as I concerned, the camera will come in an extremely limited production of just 100 units, retailing for a cool $14,265 per unit. It features a metal finish, back finished in silver chrome, matching AUTO and flash settings with the camera’s leather, and omission of the red Leica logo. There are two striking calfskin leather finishes – orange and etoupe – supplied by Hermes. Each set is delivered in a linen-covered, silk-lined box.

The LEICA M7 Edition ‘Hermes’ will be available in the UK from December 2009 from authorised Leica dealers including the Leica Store Mayfair. Any taker?
