October 7th, 2009, the renowned top designer Marc Jacobs released its Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 Ready-to-Wear and Louis Vuitton handbags collection in Paris. The show was all about extremes. The luxury brand omes surprisingly close to a streetwear style in the collection created by Marc Jacobs.
What greatly impressed me is the models with big afro wigs. There are really striking. While, these models are not only the stars in the show. The new accessories left many viewers confused, because there wasn’t a central theme or style of the collections. Everything from the shoes to the clothes were fabulous and extremely surprising.
Here is an array of some bags that debuted at this show.Take a special look at these handbags. Some of the bags were covered with tassels, some of the bags were actually duffel bags, some of the bags had huge fur detail, and some were plastic trash bag designs. You might doubt that if they all came from Louis Vuitton. Obsolutely yes! It seems that Marc Jacobs becomes more boldly and take advantage of the playful inspiration from Comme des Garcons. Jacobs said that this season he looked at the fashion on the street and decided to bring it to Louis Vuitton. The line is fun, with a sense of humor and hippy touches in the prints.
As for these clothes, they are all about youth and enjoyment as well. The hit hot tassels and bow detail are adorned into, expressing the funny and feminine look of these clothes. In fact, I’m not sure these are pieces most of us would truly consider “ready to wear” but the show was entertaining nonetheless. Maybe the plaful boy aimed to bring us back to the innocent.
